The department of clinical studies received donation of several specialty books by Dr. Kiragu, an alumnus of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kiragu who was accompanied by his wife, practices in the US donated his collection of books and those of other well wishers who supported him. The books will be handy in enabling both graduate and undergraduate student get access to current information in several fields in veterinary medicine. It is expected that with the resulting improved learning, improved care of animals and better delivery of services to animals and their owners. The chairman of the department while receiving the gifts thanked Dr. Kiragu for his donation and welcomed other alumni to support the University in delivering its mandate of training personnel to serve and make an impact in the global society.

Veterinary Emergency Response Unit of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Partnered with Baringo County Government and World Animal Protection to vaccinate animals against Rift Valley Fever in among other interventions as a mitigation measure against Elnino phenomenon which is expected during the months of October-December 2015.
